NOWHEN
NOWHEN is an inner monologue, a fragmented sequence of perceptions, reflections, doubts and statements expressed through the body, the word, sound, light and the objects on stage.
The character crosses and lets herself be corossed by her environment, she follows a path as it unfolds, a path from here to here, which begins nowhere and ends nowhere, passes through tangles of sensations, moments of clarity, revelations, and moments of rest and contemplation of the things that surround her.
Her only purpose, in this fluctuating environment, is to maintain herself in the subtle line that separates and unites gravity and lightness.
The work is born from the interest of paying attention to the sensorial aspect of things, whether they are thoughts, actions, sounds, lights or objects; giving time and space to observation, imagination, memory, to the effort to keep things intact. Also, to study varied and diverse elements in their particular nature and then unite, gather, build a stable and flexible home, where there is neither inside nor outside, only openings and ways through.
“We must rely on our power to envision and to reconstruct,
anger by painful anger, stone upon heavy stone, a future of pollinating difference and the earth to support our choices.
Create another complete structure that touches every aspect
of our existence, while we are resisting”.
